City descritpion
Jacksonville – or simply Jax as it is called by the inhabitants – is a center for insurance companies and banks in the southern United States. But with its picturesque historic district and its selection of restaurants, golf courses and parks, the city has a lot to offer for travelers as well. The riverwalk along St. John's River is a popular destination where restaurants, shops and some of the city’s most important museums can be found.
30 Kilometers southeast of Jacksonville, you can visit St. Augustine which is the oldest continuously occupied city in the United States built by Europeans while Amalia Island is a perfect place for a beach holiday.
